“Sales for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus exceeded our expectations for the launch weekend, and we couldn’t be happier," Apple CEO Tim Cook said, noting that the sales broke "all previous sell-through records by a large margin."

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launched on September 19 in the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the U.K.


The models will be released in 20 additional countries on September 26, with the total increasing to 115 nations by the end of the year.
