Can You Be Addicted To Greed?

Why Wall Street trader Sam Polk finally decided to call it quits.

It's hard to imagine walking away from a job that gives you an annual bonus of $3.6 million, but that's exactly what hedge-fund trader Sam Polk did in 2010. As he would later write in a widely publicized op-ed comparing greed to drug addiction, Polk realized that he was hooked on the allure of ever-larger bonuses, and that no matter how much money he made, it would never be enough. That's when he decided to give up his life on Wall Street and start a non-profit called Groceryships to address issues of obesity and food insecurity. This is his story.
